blind and mistaken

blind and mistaken

A Poem by dukovan

Complete in my desires,
I seem to bind myself
And compare the strings to my arteries,
Blindly mistaking pain for clues.

there's never been a way away from these days.

And you attack my heart during breakfast.
And our eyes never meet.
I think it's true that I never knew you
But still,
The pictures are all gone
What's the use?

You hummed a tune down the hall
I compared you to a ghost
I once knew you the most
Now I won't even get up to see you.

Where I was, wasn't hiding from you
Whereabouts are these maps that you drew.
When I wove coloured yarns
To color code scars
I knew I had finally lost you

I mistook your Jesus for a thief
The one who's coming after me
Mother
Where is father?
Is he waiting after me?
