tomorrows from forever ago

tomorrows from forever ago

A Poem by dukovan

Was it ever that bad?
Or are you sick of the good times?
I know they're killing us
But hopefully
You can forget what you said

And finally have a tomorrow
Worth waiting for.

You found a friend in the sand box
I found your body in bed
By the way im not laughing at you
Just something you said

Got me thinking about yesterday
And how this moment would take so long.

By the time I'm convincing
You'll probably have known
that we all need assurance
And the truth is I know that I don't
Really want to.

It's bending for reasons
My spine and conviction
Into the dark
Where I leapt and sang songs of my fears

And the truth is I don't want to see
Who's watching.
