Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest

A Poem by dukovan

Beside myself, my empty heart
The bottle broke, now don't you start
Just get me into dad's car.

I'm not sure what we were really deciding
There was this wall between us, love,
That I couldn't see
But you leaned and I pressed
Said you're the best
And I felt you speak

There's a pause in the hour,
we waited by flowers
And it's a desperate means to mean it
How you're awfully sweet,
And how I need a drink just to speak.

Killing the time beside you I meant to tell you again
How dare you deserve it, when I remember how it works.
It's awfully sweet to just think about living a lie.
Time after time
Topples and spill
And eventually it's always fine
And that's why there's no time
