a long time ago.

a long time ago.

A Poem by dukovan

I'm thinking I'll wind down for the night,

that clocks still not ticking right.

By that time you get here,

the problems so clear,

and it'll probably tell me you're right.

The answer is not worth the fight,

our chances are shrinking in light.

There's nothing wrong

I'm on you're front lawn,

let me try to finally get this right.

I'm thinking of how you arrived,

with that scarf held tight to your side.

You said, "I can't stay long

I've got nothing to hide

I just hate how you see me at night.

The problem is coming along,

anytime now, it won't be too long.

Hold tight to your things

cause you can hardly sing,

Try holding on to everything.

I read back that note that you wrote,

such a long time ago,

you said I was drunk,

I said not drunk enough,

but that was a long time ago.
