A song to sing to.

A song to sing to.

A Poem by dukovan

Verse 1
Are you coming along?
I'm writing this song and you're hummin'.
No, I won't be too long.
I'm further along then I have been.

I am afraid.
The shape of my name isn't certain.
This fire goes free
crazy like me and your laughing.

Chorus/alt verse
I'm trying harder brother,
but there's a curse upon your lover
and everyone you dared to love this week.
one two three...
they all leave me.

Bridge 1
I came down to tell you my whole truth.
Or to passively show you,
and find you a use.

Verse 2
Are you coming with me?
Veiny, the trees,
they're not tapping.

The wind through the trees,
the end of the breeze isn't certain.
Are you breathing like me?
or planning to be never certain.

Alt verse/Chorus 2
I'm trying with your mother to plead
insanity.

Alt bridge verse
I am a tower that is folding my arms
and you're a cabinet that I see when I start
to build up this home town that you left so quickly,
just to find you a home when you leave the big city.

This is pretty good, but kinda depressing, I love it. Nicely penned, thanks for sharing :D
