shadow in the sun.A Poem by dukovan
I found you a freezer,
pawned off on the fourth July, garbage day, I was scrapping one more. It was red in the morning and you blew smoke like a ghost. Alive or not, you're staining my porch. In my vacant yard an uprooted tree, is winding hearts with veiny leaves. My friend is thawing his last set of eyes. Stealing the night he leaped through the sun. I was blue in the evening and soon you were leaving. I thought about leaving too. Or just block out the sun with these "get well" balloons. My vacant heart; My living room; A place to start to make our shadows move. © 2013 dukovan |
