when I saw you pause.

when I saw you pause.

A Poem by dukovan

You paused on the steps.
I trusted you'd catch yourself
in a wooden frame,
if you ever lost feeling
in both of your legs.

Hold onto something close.
You're stretching your arms to sky.
You don't need to know why.

Wall paper peeling
down to the paint,
is tacky, revealing
and never quite the same.
It feels like that's ok.

Let go of your crutch my son.
The moons taking form
as you dose off on my arm.
"I don't know why but its fun".
