Tied to the tidings.

Tied to the tidings.

A Poem by dukovan
"

Like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

"
You'd deliver my blessings on holidays
and they wrapped around my feet.
Now I'm bound to the wall
missing everything,
and always freezing at home.

I made a fire for myself
just to waste it on you
and you needed me just for yourself.
Now I've got nothing to do.

You tethered extensions to see
but they keep getting pulled from the wall,  by your feet.
Now I'm missing everything,
and I feel you when you breathe.

I talked you down
and you thawed me out
for a feverish feeling when I talk too loud.

I complained about the tree,
now the front room's on fire
and theres nothing new to see.

I can't talk my way out of this.

The trouble is - WE know what we are speaking of so the neat phrasings and cool as hell innuendo are killer. But very few have our at the moment of writing - references. Short of having enough life experience and a good sense of people few will decipher our cryptology. Some may get a partial feeling of what we are expressing but the whole pic will elude them. The script for a Vid doesn't necessarily work well standalone.

So ...no, you can't talk your way out of this one.
