Begging for something.

Begging for something.

A Poem by dukovan

Begging me for something you lost,
you're a beggar now; you're lost.
Begging me for mine
and I am yours
to keep.

Killing time for someone who died.
Tearing out the floor boards you hide
Sewn into the carpet
my ear is begging bargains
for new life.

Do you still keep that chest
up in your closet.
I can't get it off my mind
when you pause
I find the time.

A kindergarten picture I drew
my brain was on my pedestal.
Now I'm on the fridge
and Dads not coming home
not ever again.

I'm a s****y son
I've got nothing I want.
You gave me one
and one is all I need.

I'll pester you to sleep.
Your eyes flutter when you dream.
i hope you're growing wings.
"its nothing,
but you're sweet."
I'll just ask you later.
