You look like you're crying.

You look like you're crying.

A Poem by dukovan
"

About my mom.

"
Go clean your cheeks at the kitchen sink.
Play it cool and cool your flint.
I'll stop these cigarettes to be the only kid that did.

Go cry yourself to sleep
I'll be busy catching fireflies in my mouth.
I hope they'll make you proud
but I know the night will wear them out.

I wish for more summer again.
The stars are winking
so I swallow them like a secret.
And it always wears me out.

Mom,
take care of Dad.
I got my red beard from you.
I'm fiery like you too.

Your windows open
its cool.
I'll play my songs and hope to dream of you too.

2nd and third stanzas are really solid; they are woven together well..it's personal and maintains its privacy..which is a good balance to achieve...another fine gem
