suburban blues.

suburban blues.

A Poem by dukovan

Whats left to do
in my fathers house
with those suburban blues.

I read your hues.
You said, "The sky is the limit,
but those houses swallowed you."

Now I remember everything
as I digest your similes.
You're nothing as you seem,
we're inciting different dreams.

You read the words in red
tacked on the ceiling
Your flushed pale skin started peeling.

Its just like that dream
where your roof is gone
and you can't remember what you'd lost.

I know I can't help;
I can only speak.
"It was just a dream,
it was just a dream."

I'll nightmarry you and echo your cries,
as long as I'm living
as long as I'm dying.

Is this a song? Because your ‘about me’ says you like to write songs and I couldn't help singing it as opposed to saying it. The melody in my head was a little bit weird so I focused on reading and then I found myself singing...
"I'll nightmarry you and echo your cries,
as long as I'm living
as long as I'm dying."
I enjoyed this...I wasn’t sure until I got to the line...
"we're inciting different dreams."
And then it was over...I fall in love with that line!
