While you were sleeping.A Poem by dukovanLyrics
I spoke to you
once while you were dreaming. What did I say? What did you mean? Who would've thought? Who really cared about your personal perfection in a webbing mirror? Spoke my vainy sight, "Is everything alright?" "Well aren't I still here?" A sermon to share; I'll wait 'til you're sleeping; I'll wait 'til you're scared. Who could've known with my jigsaw mouth a reason, unknown, in the dark. I'm piecing together a cause for a spark. Do you dare to have a heart? So I'll do what I have to now. I made some coffee matching the sky; no sugar coating, no alibi. My shaking hands are reaching. Do you dare to hold a heart? No creamy speckled skin to steal my eyes. Just an indirect reason as to why I still try. Do you dare; do I? © 2012 dukovanAuthor's Note
