A Poem by dukovan
"

Every stanza here is a potential verse...most of them just came out while playing the guitar, let me know which ones stick..theres plenty of arranging to be done.

"
How do you remember;
what do you recall?
The shape of your body
and the way the leaves fall.

No one to save you;
no one to call.
I couldn't catch you
by the time of your fall.

A lighter
a flashlight
a map to get home.
I couldn't blame you
if you needed to go.

I'm not a savior;
I'm just a friend.
Your batteries leaking;
could this be the end?

Lost in translation;
lost in my home.
Nothing to see here;
no way to know.

The trees are the arrows
pointing us home
I'm lost in the bodies
of my families clothes.

Don't you follow me home.
Its a place I don't know
a way I don't normally go
anymore.

No one to blame you
no one to call.
I can't remember
the way that I felt.

I suppose it makes sense
that I just never knew.
By the time I'm convinced
I'd repeat it to you.
