Something to look forward to.

Something to look forward to.

A Poem by dukovan
"

Now this is basically about me trying to find something to look forward to, without ever experiencing it before. So its the mystery herself, the newness of it all...the fear almost. and then at......

"
I've got to go.
Always and almost,
just letting you know.

Don't follow me home.
Tomorrow is taken
by the way I don't go.

I left the premise in your mouth.
It tasted better that way.

I left the premises bitterly.
Now I taste you in everything.

Clean this place up.
Once and now again,
I'm taking you home.

Don't make me go.
I said that I wont,
but how could you know?

How could we try again
when we're both insane?
We do it everyday.

I said, "One day I'll fly again,"
though I knew I never had.

Author's Note

dukovan
the end of it, whatever it is, you realize it could have been different somehow. Where does hope stem from? How does it differ from faith? Do I need proof of everything before I believe it can happen again? Losing something before you ever even had it is an odd sort of regret.(Regret is also the most powerful emotion..so I heard.)
