Curiosity killed the kid.

Curiosity killed the kid.

A Poem by dukovan

Longevity and lingering have a fine line.
Sooner than later we die,
when later is what we want.

I found a way to divide,
and slip in between,
to ride out my life.

The good must die young,
I'm not getting any older.

A shortcut is tougher to find,
when you've seen the other side
and fear devours your pride
and you've got no place to hide.

The younger I die,
the better.

So I'll choke down these smokes,
and hold it inside,
to bring out the good and the bad I hide.

I tried;
it didn't work the first time.
Though theres nothing to prove,
curiosity gets the best of me
