Houses as people.

Houses as people.

A Poem by dukovan
"

mind games with myself.

"
Are you holding out?
Useless secrets are creeking,
through this old house.

We're rustier now.
What can you remember,
what can you live
without?

Faith ought to know,
my heart is a stone
on a hill,
so who knows.

I should've known.
Now you're barely breathing
and I'm alone with these ghosts.

So give me your pain.
Bleed into me,
I'll take everything.

Are you holding out.
A special outfit tonight,
your closet shivers without.

It all wore me out.
Another year again,
and for you I'll hold out.
