Familiar as anything.

Familiar as anything.

A Poem by dukovan

The betterment of me
is laying in the street,
counting leaves in trash bags,
and suffering debris.

Falling from the trees, my body
piles, crunching in Autumn's breeze.

You set fire to my hair.
I just smiled,
didn't care.
Do you dare to count the days?
The end will have your number,
but don't won't know what it means.
I refuse to die while I'm asleep.

The adventure
surrendered,
is flying towards the trees,
uprooting every b*****d, burnt by any means.

Winter comes to cool but unfortunately,
it will freeze our jaws
and bind our flaming teeth.

The phoenix foe,
is his own hero,
blazing a trail for us all.

For now lets just remain
living vividly.
It seems like it'll be,
as familiar as anything.
