Join Me

A Poem by Dukesrunner

Won’t try to impress this time.

Just working for me and me alone.

‘Cause it seems other people,

Just don’t see.

Or won’t see?

It’s a pity, really,

That they all can’t see what I see.

What do I see?

I see it all,

And nothing at all,

But enough and not so,

Enough to make it through the fall.

People love the green,

But the death anew?

Brings me life,

Feathers to lie in,

To hide in,

But not from,

No.

Truly I hide in plain sight.

Now if someone could find the match,

To set their eyes ablaze,

And join me.

Someone.

Author's Note

Dukesrunner
I guess one could describe this a stream of conscious Thought? I wrote this in a certain frame of emotion, such described by the poem itself. The rhymes are poor, and the rhythm is non-existant. It's more a rambling with a title slapped on top of it, so please don't take it too seriously.
