Something in the Scent

Something in the Scent

A Poem by Kirsty Lee
"

i have no idea.

"
i found a dark mud that splattered
mixing like chunky soup
 with crimson blood
that coagulated and darkened to resemble
deep purple bruises of unadjusted lust
believe me! cried my conscious
that this feeling was unable to be resisted
it was listless and tasting of dry leaves
something unwanted that yearned for existence
but bait me not! simple cloudy heart that leads
the fragments of adolescent memories
to create a boundary of need
a clinging desperate motion for acceptance
it felt. it hurt. it smelled.
it was a rotting formality.

Wow, its poweful and seemingly came from nowhere. It kind of leaves you hanging, wondering what the number was of the Mack truck that just hit you. It was thrilling. Very nice. I wish more pieces were this adventurous!

I am a little eccentric, wild if you must, and terribly blunt. Yet, underneath all the smiles and hyper bubbly exterior; I am very sweet. I love to relax the day away with a good book. To be by .. more..
