what is the sound of your breath 

as we lie still on a summer’s night

in my mind’s eye 

we gaze into each other’s souls 

with no thought of time

those moments 

that would last forever

I look up

dazed

I’ve been dreaming again

Spring afternoon haze

lavender aroma has brought these thoughts of you

you are so far away

can the want of a reality 

be shaped to what we want it to be

or are we subject to fate
