Sirens SongA Poem by Dave W.![]() The sirens call and eyes alure distract from rocks below.....![]() Passions song, plays once again sirens call to sailors’ destruction fools jump asking where the water is her eyes beckon, I am drawn in she bids drink to my hearts delight there is safety in her arms tonight a bed bathed by moon light lips alure, I cannot fight of love we had our fill till sunrise crest, upon the hill bird song silence, wind was still for passion cost, who pays the bill I, a fool, made desire king forgetting promises, a reckless fling shame in heart, conscience sting alone again, without hope to cling © 2025 Dave W.Author's Note
