Pleading for Muse

Pleading for Muse

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Inspiration has left and I plead to Muse to return...

"
Evening Muse come visit me,
I long for your presence again,
tell me of the journey you've traveled,
have you brought tidings that make the heart glad,
is there joy in the words you share,

Muse speak not of love or lose,
I care for none of those things,
you share pain too heavy to bear,
no,
tell me of miracles,
tell me of wonders,

Muse weave a tapestry
seen with eyes
that pierces the veil,

Let  inspirations light saturate my soul,

Muse I walk in a land of dearth,
devoid of meaning,
continually I return to fountains
that once supplied refreshment,
now run dry.

Muse bring the rains of beauty,

Muse bring waters that quench a thirsty heart,
I would that you would share your mind with me,
Muse,
I will wait for your return,
I look to horizons light,
faithfully I will watch for you,
eagerly I listen for that familiar song,

Muse you will always have a place at my table.

Sometimes the muse stands us up...but if she does arrive and sits at the table...we leave the table feeling quite sated.

oooh yes i've seen and read some pretty depressing things Dave you are much better see?
David, what I thought of as I read this, when I'm at a loss...
Think on things that stirred your passion, good and bad.
"How dare such and such!"...or "She moved me but I dare not"...
Studying Bukowski, I'm learning It does not matter what people "think"
..What matters is how "you" feel...the artist, what is driving you.?
Go with your impulse sometimes, it's good.
Be impulsive, Dave.
IF you have regrets..they can always be smoothed over. I promise.

I'd like a muse or twos or threes if they have these and a quart of inspiration and a gallon of expectation for fuel to get my plans off the ground. Do they deliver? Do send them round. That sounds just about write.
