Wait what, what wieght?

Wait what, what wieght?

A Poem by Dave W.
"

It's really hard to let it go.......

"

Hello dear reader

Shh....

just between us

can you help me out

where I can get rid of this weight

I'll wait..........

oh......”What weight?” you say

just this weight of desire

the kind that drags

that pulls

that holds the heart fast

that doesn't let go

that keeps the past relevant

that from the present I am absent

I have carried it much too long

so please tell me how to let it go

my arms tire

my eyes are heavy

yet ironically

sleep is far from me

seems it requires all my attention

so please help a guy out

tell me where I can leave this burden........

Dave W. I'm sure there is someone you are interested in. You are fluent in Latin? Tenderly take her hand and speak Latin to her. All the great hot lovers were Latin, correct? TRY IT.

Happiness is never found in having what we want. It can only be found in wanting and appreciating what we already have. Until we learn to be satisfied, we never are. But those who are ungrateful and unthankful generally lose even the things they thought they had. That's why I try to give thanks every day for my multitude of blessings. You woke up? A reason for thanks. You aren't sick or dying? Another reason, and so forth. But the beauty of taking that sort of inventory is this, It's really very difficult to feel sorry for yourself while you're counting your blessings. I was signing out and saw this. I have some good advice on sleep deprivation. Don't chase sleep. Let sleep come to you. Then don't fight it. I hope only good things for you, poet extraordinaire.

We cling to the past because it is who we think we are. Without it, even the unpleasant parts, we'd be nothing, and that we cannot bear. And yet the past is no longer real, and we could release except for our fear of nothingness.
