Wresting with rest

Wresting with rest

A Poem by Dave W.
"

sometimes i don't fall asleep, sometimes I lose conscientiousness

"

Thoughts all a jumble

palpitations disquiet

heart all a flutter

restless mess

tossing and turning in my casket of a bed

covers wrapped around my head

be quiet you wondering heart

I wish to feel nothing

bliss and silence are the gifts of the afterlife

unfortunately not the gifts of this life

mistakes of the day

invade my night

monsters of the deep grabbing me,

claws wrapped around my ankles pulling,

Mephistopheles smiles,

I scream,

into the pit,

I descend,

Eyes open

Head pounding

“What am I doing on the floor again”

Hi Dave W. I researched Mephistopheles! Yikes! Your wandering heart and mind do expand across many horizons! Mistakes and monsters monopolizing your sleep. See ya @ 3:40 AM! Smooches! (wink)
Check out my hair! You like?
ANYHOO, take care! Friend.
