Afternoon tomfooleryA Poem by Dave W.![]() What some curse can bless others![]() Rain wash over me serenade and sooth hypnotize now heavy eyes I'll not curse you cleanse me as you do the air I embrace the deluge symphony drips on my glasses and soaked to the bone "Do I want an umbrella?" someone asks "No" smiling I reply I will not be robbed of this sensory experience splash and stomp spin and twirl nothing like the smell of ozone fragrant air drenched I dance in new born pools afternoon tomfoolery tears lost in a multitude of drops. © 2025 Dave W.Author's Note
