Poisonous HeartA Poem by Dave W.Emotions are a terrible tyrantHeart of mine cease your
incesant cries now that the fire of love is
past the cold settles in you begin your never ending chattering shivering blabbering it is getting to me. Be quiet I need to think so long as you continue I can't hear with your
cacophany of whining. I cringe and wince at your
weakness over what, love? no never. You were the one that got me
into this mess now go to sleep I will build the callus I will harden you no good is what you are bit and bridle would be the
best to still your voice you foolish thing. O heart of mine why must you
care so senseless it was to drop your sheild don't you remember the past where we’ve been idiot and a fool is what you
are no more with love I say it is a poisonous emotion that invites a cancer into
the soul © 2025 Dave W.Author's Note
