Errans desideriumA Poem by Dave W.Wandering desireFrom within there is a grave cry, I call for things once common to my life, my mind's plea, resonates into the void with hopeful expectation of a return resonance. I am Odysseus's desire for Ithaca’s safe harbor, traveling I search for that familiar oasis, a place where my heart once lived, where I was known, and I knew its inhabitants. There is a bittersweet song that plays in my soul, a chorus in my spirit sung with tears that are always on the verge of breaking forth, yet my eyes are as dry as the sun. This feeling, This hunger, This desire, This want, This searching, all unfulfilled longing continues, with the hope of completion's end. © 2025 Dave W.Author's Note
