Peace after the storm

Let there be peace to the troubled sea 

the waters tossed back and forth

waves that crash against the shore

Let there be calm through the tempest 

violent wind to cease it furious bluster

dancing leaves promenade for all to see 

Let there be rest for the heart, 

passions furry replaced by quite contempltion

to love again and receive love's riches

After the stiring and whirling and fervent rage, 

a mind wound up, 

and romantic blaze's end, 

the crash of lust's fire now extinguished suddenly, 

there is a stillness, 

there is a quiet settling in place of it all, 

The future now has more promise than before, 

there can be hope to the troubled soul, 

one chapter ended

that is not the end to the story of life, 

some many pages are still to be filled, 

so much love is still to have, 

so many new people to meet, 

so much of life to experience.....
