Arenae Mobiles

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Shifting sands....

"
I poured my heart out
into an unknown abyss of promises
in faith I made the investment
now I wait
and wait
and wait
I weary from the patience
I am forced to practice
my spirit is exhausted at hope
the hope I cling to
that promised hope at the end of the rainbow or is it fools gold

Vision that was so clear
is now obscured by doubts
by what ifs
by maybe's
this is desires end
whats left after passion devours
I have been emptied of Ero's influences

I sit in seat of uncertainty
this place where the ground is in flux
my house is on foundations made of sand
everything is shifting

Where is my muse
where is that fervent passion felt
all is replaced with a cooling of the spirit
my tender heart must needs be caluosed
the pain is to much to bear
I dont want these feelings
I let the blood flow stop to those parts
I dont want those things that bring pain to live
until the sand gives way to something sure this is the only way I can be
