Lacrimae FlentesA Poem by Dave W.Weeping tears........
Where are the tears to weep,
even if I had the waters of the pacific I would still be wanting, the sting of the heart, a thousand fathoms of weight bearing down. I look up to a starless sky, hope has far fled, I am alone. I have lost the words to speak, adrift in agitated waters, there is longer comfort found in familiar haunts, all of the faces I have known are become strange, they speak dead languages, there words no longer comfort my disquieted heart. I am now acursed bearing the mark of Cain, solitary I wander a desolate land, there is no place to lay my head, there is no rest for my soul, I am abandoned and forsaken, all have closed their ears to my pleas, blind eyes look beyond my desparate plight, There is no longer a future to find, we now come to the end of all things, where are the arms that were going to hold me, where is the tender caress, where is the warmth of love, now only void and pitch black emptiness....
