Minervae Musa

Minervae Musa

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Wisdoms muse........

"
Wisdoms muse visits me,
she speaks,
my hungry ears devour her verbal delecaies.

Tell me of life,
for I am a child eager to learn,
paitently I wait.

She has the words of peace,
the words of happiness,
the words that will resurect my wounded heart.

Oh muse rich in knowledge light my way,
my hand is outstretched and i desire yours.

She is beautiful in grace,
she wears a garment of temperence,
she is adorned with gems of kindness,
charity is her portion.

Oh muse I am not worthy of your voice,
your glance,
your guidance,
how have I found grace in your eyes,
time is the most valuable commoditiy,
and you share it with me,
I am humbled.

Oh muse,
illiumination is your way,
giving vision through the veil of darkness,
my guiding light,
my dear friend,
thank you.

it's a lovely sonnet, something almost Shakesperean. while i dont doubt you truly feel this way, the emotions are dramatised and become operatic. something that could be read aloud on a blue-lit stage with an Elizabethean set design. and ' verbal delecaies' is a great line.
