Cauda DevoransA Poem by Dave W.![]() Tail devourer.........![]()
As Ourobos dines,
I dine, I devour, I consume fears and doubts, I swallow lonliness and depressions kiss, all within, I rage at self proclaimed prophecies of doom. There is no light on this starless night, Selene smiles her crimson smile, nothing stirs, yet I stir, roiling blood, racing heart, agitation of spirit, there is no rest, peace has left me, alone I sup this cup of isolation. I scream, I yell, I call, I speak, I whisper, there is no more I say, there is none to answer back. My tears have run dry, truely hope is a rare gem I can no longer afford. There will be no sunrise on the morrow, the storm clouds have gathered, the gloom slinks and slithers, shadows grow, darkness encompasses my hearts throne. Shall I go into the future empty, to walk through void and perpetual midnight, black flames guidance gives no comfort, I wait eating my portion, slowly poisoning my spirit.
