Recordatus dolorisA Poem by Dave W.Remebered the pain
Good bye sweetly spoken,
haunted reveries, phantom limb memory. This is not the future I would have chosen, I feel the loss deep, time has erroded your mental image, your smile, brown eyes, curly hair, I miss you so, my first love. We were going to be old together, those plans spoken in dead of night, grandparent wisdom is what we were going to give our children, I cant even remeber your voice, I hold onto a vapor. All I can give now is the half of a heart left behind, the other half you took with you into eternal slumber. Would you reckonize me now, the old man that I am, the cynical mind that see's life through a temporal lens. Good bye again, it was nice to feel something familiar, The pain I thought I had forgoten.
