Cor InaneA Poem by Dave W.If I didn't write I would go crazy.....
I will cry out into the void,
I will pour myself out into the emptiness, I will carry loves burden alone, I am devoured by passion's flame, a fire we made together, I now tend alone waiting for her return. What connection is there without her? Who would hear the cries of a wounded heart? Who's hand could I grab onto as I wait for her? Who can understand this weight I carry? Does she feel the same? There is no joy without her, there is no room in my heart, she fills every space, the feeling that was so powerful, now consumes me away. I am a sacrifice on Eros pyre. Only the dead know the end of pain, there is no fighting in the grave, there is no longing to those who have passed on, their war is over. I am jealous of those no longer feeling, Oh to be numb from this torment. Hope is cruel, a chain binding me to this plane, love has poisoned me, Aphrodite's rose thorns have punctured my heart, I am alone.
