Inside the storm

Inside the storm

A Poem by Dave W.
"

The heart can sometimes go crazy with out knowing.....

"
Her dissembled face stares,
I stir,
I'm troubled,
I tremble,
icy eyes glare,
all is calm outside,
inside a raging storm,
me: "Did you have a good night dear?"
she: "We will talk later"....

it's a sharply written vignette that suggests a lot without revealing much. this domestic drama is over in a flash yet we know exactly what the persona is feeling. there is tension, nervousness and a desire to clear the air. yet, we all know our hero is powerless in this situation. this narrative works. it is imbued with emotions, and features believable characters and situations.
thanks for sharing. hope you are having a good day, Dave.

Thankyou for this well written review, this is from a prompt about being in the middle of a storm
reminds me of Robert Creeley and his poems of conversation...the poet's dialogue.
