Happily Consumed

Happily Consumed

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Love is a is a hungry fire.....

"
Consumed being as I am,
I relinquish hold,
happily I will be a captive,
to this primal force,
have me,
I am yours.

I bend to the whim of the unseen,
I bask in its primal glory,
driven in mind,
compelled in heart,
moved by desire's hunger,
ravished it feeds,
I oblige my body.

In the morning it is there,
at noon I welcome it's loving arms,
in the evening dreamscape vistas,
are visited and we dance.

Where is her touch,
my skin is cold and alone?

Where is her voice,
the silence is deafening?

Where is her face,
all I see is darkness?

Incomplete I wander in circles,
awaiting her presence.

She is the need I never new I had,
she is my vision,
now I see the truth.
