Mystery of Desire

Mystery of Desire

A Poem by Dave W.
"

The heart is a mysterious place to travel......

"
Mystery of desire's rhythm,
deep caverns scoured and searched.

Perilous rivers crest the banks,
"Ford through" calls the heart.

Veil of darkness hides futures light.

Passion's risk has a hand out stretched.

Eye's allure, enrapture, and grasps, a willing soul,

Beauty you have won,
angelic timbre strums the souls chords.

That silken touch,
that bewitching stare.

What is this presence felt?

What is her fragrance?

I am born anew,
I am transformed,
the old has passed away,
I am obliterated in her light,
I am illuminated with revelation,
I answer destiny's call...

Emotionally powerful words. An event that led to a transformation. The crumbling of an old order. The start of something new. Passion alone can do that. Loved it.

"Veil of darkness hides futures light."
~ A very beautiful line.

Obliterated but so happy, I guess. We wanted to give in. I'm trying to get my writing together after so long and here is how I want to write, just like you.

WOW! I never thought I'd hear "Desire" from those lips....This is a beautiful enlightenment from you. (I looked up Destinies call...Here's what I found: AI Overview

The correct phrase is "destiny's call" - the possessive form "destiny's" is used before "call" as it refers to a single destiny, not multiple destinies. *But. of course, it's "your" beauty to behold..and whatever.) Congrats on your new love, Dave. Enjoy those precious moments. G.
