Unknown Road

Unknown Road

A Poem by Dave W.
"

We think we know what the future holds.......

"
Unknown is lifes road lightly trod,
tramping about from youth to elder,
wise men wait for the path revealed,
fools rush head first into darkness,
knowing only assumptions.

How can one know who they will meet,
friends and enemies made,
hearts captured and broken.

Nothing last forever,
good with the bad,
darkness gives way to light,
storm clouds gathered vacate an azure sky.

What is will not always be,
shifting are the sands,
many houses have been built on.

To make God laugh,
just tell him your plans,
predict what the next five minutes will be,
if things are bleak and dark,
if gloom feels all around,
wait for time to do its work,
things change  and miracles astound.
