Triumph of Joy

Triumph of Joy

A Poem by Dave W.
"

I will not let the darkness consume, I will resist....

"
Embraced in joy's warmth,
sunrise of the heart,
I am over filled and flowing,
peace runs through me I dissolve into it.

Thoughts of tomorrow no longer bother,
this moment I will grasp onto,
the future can mind it's own business,
past's specter haunt somebody else.

I am free in the serene,
thankfulness and compassion commune as guests,
I welcome them with open arms,
happiness and contentment,
have made their habitation in a heart with room.

Good bye gathering gloom you have no place here,
discontentment there is no longer room for you,
depression you have stayed long enough, please leave,
fear you are defeated by love's sure strike,
hello new day what plans have you......

i'm glad you're feeling a bit better. it was a pleasant, if uneventful, day for me. and while my problems haven't left, i want to say 'Good bye gathering gloom you have no place here.'

Yes that is the spirit, screw the gloom, and kick depression out of the house. Good to hear from yo.. read more
I read a true sunrise of the spirit here. When there’s insight and a resolve to be happy and content, then the discontent, depression and fear naturally dissolve. This poem is just what one needs to read for a bright and positive day.
