OdysseusA Poem by Dave W.Loves journey is fraught with peril and storm.I am consumed, wrapped in thoughts sublime, constant she is on my mind. This prison gladly entered, a calf to the slaughter, smiling sweetly. What is the power she holds? How is it possible? I withstood all other forces. I am conquered with seduction's stare? I am hers, no longer can I return, for the man I was has perished. I am her Lotus eater, there is no Ithaca to return to, only her eyes, her gentle embrace, she is my country, fragrant lands plentiful, I will harvest her bounty, delight in her beauty. © 2024 Dave W.Author's Note
