Beautiful night missedA Poem by Dave W.Another night missed, sleeplessly anxious, closer to the grave....What a night to behold, stars above gaze down on the mortals below. Everyone scurrying about, so worried about, the mountainous molehills to conquer. Pleiades and Orion laughing, pass over head, Taurus and Cancer look on, weeping for the unfortunate creatures, so concerned for wealth that vanishes, sandcastle kingdoms washed away. Heavenly bodies dance in the cosmos, with the divine and eternal, a beautiful symphony on display, the mortals don't see. Blind eyes glued to screens, starlight drown by street lights, quiet night disturbed by the noise of progress, wonder of creation, missed by anxiety for things out of control. Majesty missed and the maker misunderstood, distractions abound, life passes by in a flash. Take time to stand still, enjoy the wonder on display.
