Morning Thoughts

Morning Thoughts

A Poem by Dave W.
"

The mind can be weird and go a thousand miles an hour......

"
Early morning musings,
mistaken meanings,
where do they come from?

Thoughts flown in on an evening's breeze,
how to relay what they are,
so many things to say,
without the words to say,
to type, to convey.

An interpreter is out of his league on these mean streets of emotion,
patterns of pretense,
punctuated portents of something,
maybe nothing,
who knows what it means,
I can't even tell myself,
just words matching the rolling waves of a heart.

Illogically scribbled,
hastily hoping to get it right,
I write till all can be said,
the fire satiated,
the furnace cooled and rested.

Oh God let this be right,
let me not care,
let me get it all out.

I always have wondered where my poetry comes from...I feel like a conduit rather than a real poet...like I am stealing thoughts from somewhere, a plagiarist....
I like your idea of having thoughts waiting for us to wake up and put them on paper.
They are just hovering, watching us sleep, waiting.

A beautiful write...
It's same like dots...
We put many dots in paper which looks similar and almost same but every dot is different with their force and absorption on paper... creation is possible but recreation seems impossible... until you connect all the dots and connect all of your creations...

It is absolutely imaginary write... I like how you take struggle attempt to put the troubles into the words ...

Great to know ... !!
Inspiration seems to come to me at night when I am trying to sleep. If only it came in the morning when I am fully awake and could write the words down, I would have many beautiful poems. Tired at night, I say "I will remember that in the morning!" convinced that I will, but sadly, next morning I can't remember a single word which might prompt me to remember the beautiful poem I should have written down the previous night. I've lost so many poems this way and still haven't learned the lesson! Our Muse visits unannounced and if we don't go with the flow, we lose the intended poem. Excellently inked write which many who read will be able to identify with. Thank you for sharing, dear poet...

Most welcome, dear poet...
There's always something to say as long as verses are coming to you. Great poets never give up.

Facts, but don't we battle those inner demons of doubt
great insight into the trauma of being swamped with so many thoughts that " interpreter is out of his league on these mean streets" hoping against hope that soon it will be "the fire satiated, the furnace cooled and rested. " no time to second guess, just get it out. Nice piece of work - glad I came by - carl

Thank you for the review
Mine come just after I've laid down like they are tempting me to stay in the comforable bed and forget them by morning. I use my poetry as therapy just like meditation and I know what you mean get it out. A very poignant piece for any that write.
