Semper Desiderari

Semper Desiderari

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Somethings will only ever continue living on in our memories......

"

Past passion autumns end, cold and tired.

Quiet heavens above, I stare into nothing, calling out, none return.

Memories fragrance haunts my remembrance,

there are no more tears to cry, only silence, silent contemplation.

I have walked these paths before, what revelation can I find?

“Um, what, oh I’m sorry, I was just lost in thought”,

I hear myself say,

then I lie “Yeah every things fine, I got nothing to complain about”,

I continue on…….

Bitter-sweet memories haunt the mind when love has gone for one partner but not the other. The one who still loves finds it so difficult to forget and to live in the present when all the tears have been shed. Time to move on and no matter how hard and difficult that is, it truly is the only option open to one. In truth, your final lines in the poem are a reminder of life being worth living and for now be sure to live it for YOU!
"“Yeah every things fine, I got nothing to complain about!"
Sublime inking, Dave. Thank you for sharing...
