Faint Flame

Faint Flame

A Poem by Dave W.
"

Fire and love are so much the same....

"
Faint flame flickers,
shadows dancing on the walls,
stationary waltz,
love lingering embers,
ashes of passion slowly dying down.
Lamentation and loss,
heart cold as ice,
soft glow of the past then fades,
Eros last kiss.....

I like the anagoly....alanagy.... similarities between the flame dancing to a flicker and how love goes the same way. It reminds me of a sating about a life that burns brightest lasts only half as long, something along those lines anyway.
But when both are gone, you are always left alone in the dark thinking of the brightness that once was.
Nicely captured.

Thank you for reading it, I like your interpretation of the flames dancing.
Eros last Kiss caress when Embers rest… beneath a Canopy of Clouds. Amen.. Pat
