![]() AgainA Poem by Dave W.![]() Mistakes that are easily made are easily avoided![]() I fell again, again I fell, falling into the same pit that has swallowed me before. You'd think I would have learned by now, I wrote to myself never again, the only learning that will teach me is rote. In a weak moment I took the bait a trap I laid for myself, knowing all too well what waited in store. When will I learn, why is my head thick, nothing gets through, I walk through the fire once again, saying that this would happen never again. Again, I hit my head into a wall, like an abusive lover, I return to the familiar, that I swore I would never return to. Sisyphus has nothing on me, I can easily avoid this desire for self-destruction, yet I return. There is no comfort down these familiar streets, lost and wandering, I stumble, I fall, who will catch a fool?
