Seasonal Changes

Seasonal Changes

A Poem by Dave W.
"

End of the year ruminations....

"

Leaves of amber and gold,

crunch beneath my feet,

crisp cool air blows through the trees.

Crackling oak logs burn,

creating fireplace scents all around.

Contemplate the year gone by.

Shorter days, longer nights,

loved ones cuddle close to stay warm.

Holidays come to fast,

friends and feasts enjoyed,

some will dine alone.

Reminisce on memories of gatherings pasts,

silent autumn nights sooth.

Melancholy dreams and happy distractions, then it’s done.
