Down By the Bay

Down By the Bay

A Poem by the wretched
"

Places etch themselves on my soul

"

moonlight makes the sea grass shiver

on the banks of the old river

tides are rising, along with the gale

and all accross the the darkened water

moonbeams scatter as they wander

serpentine and eerily, so pale

and all the stars in yonder skies

like odd celestial pairs of eyes

cheshire moon stretched into a grin

watch till sun awakens, yawning,

stay to watch the new day dawning,

till the night shift starts up once again

Still, your writing style reminds me so much of Poe, which is a compliment.

I admire your writing style and how easily you manipulate few words into what I consider, volumes, of thoughts and emotions.

Brava!
