Self Preservation

A Poem by the wretched

partial suicide successful

cut the cancer from the core

precise incisions were required

and the very latest cure

lo, the funeral bells did ring

sweeter, the resounding cry,

at last, an end to suffering,

the stone read, 'here her heart doth lie'
