Hypocritic Oath

Hypocritic Oath

A Poem by the wretched
"

sometimes i disgust myself.

"

never have i more despised,

the veil between whats truth, and lies

through which one seeks to undermine

the wit and prowess of their own mind

the fool and trickster one and same

to mask the sorrows and the pains

of all the truths you cannot bear

and stay one step behind despair

though fool and liar share one name,

i despise both, just the same

and thus, surely, you realize,

the root at which my problem lies,

for i the fool, and i, the liar,

cannot make the pain expire,

and the masks grow ever thin,

soon reality sets in.
