Hades, My LoveA Poem by the wretched
you spoke of love and the words darkly shimmered, glossy and dripping sickly sweet and bitter ash rained down upon the burnt out cities of my heart blood filled the channels and bending trees grew yeilding strange fruit flowers like fire, and butterflies like dark lashes fluttering and fawning wings charred velvet black from burning petals the blood water is cold as ice foaming pink in the eddies ebbing brown in the tides the lands grow lush in the cities of the dead crimsons and mauves, taupe and charcoal lush as a wasteland and just as deadly. © 2008 the wretchedReviews
